演題:「The Temple-Tomb of Padiamenope (TT 33) and its “Funerary Library”」
要旨:
The tomb of Padiamenope (TT 33), in the Late Period necropolis of Asasif (ancient Thebes), is one of the largest tombs of pharaonic Egypt, with 22 underground rooms on four levels. It was built around 680-660 B.C. (between the late 25th and the early 26th Dynasty), for the lector-priest Padiamenope, who held high positions at the court of the Kushite rulers. Its rich and elaborate decorative program, covering a total area of approx. 2,600 m², is inspired by much older funerary texts, scenes and monuments, shedding light on the process of transmission, reproduction and adaptation of ancient models.
Since 2006 a French mission under the auspices of the IFAO (Institut Français d’Archéologie Orientale) has been carrying out multiple activities inside the tomb: study of its funerary texts and decoration; archaeological excavation; extensive cleaning, conservation and restoration program.
