講演者紹介:
Rocco RANTE 博士はイラン考古学の専家で、2005 年から2008 年までフランス・イラン研究所の研究員 をつとめ、2008 年以降ルーブル美術館に所属して考古美術研究に従事しておられます。RANTE 博士は 2000 年から2004 年までイスファハン金曜モスクの考古学調査に参加、2006 年、2007 年にはイランの 古都市レイの発掘を行い、2009 年以降はブハラ・オアシスでのフランス・ウズベキスタン共同考古学調査団 (MAFOUB/ Mission Archéologique Franco-Ouzbèke dans l’Oasis de Boukhara) のフランス隊隊長として発掘を主導しておられます。ブハラ・オアシスにおける調査の概要はhttp://mafoub.com にて順次報告されており、RANTE 博士の主要著作目録も同サイトに掲載されています。今回、科学研究費：基盤研究B「イスラーム地域における物質文化史の比較研究〜イベリア半島から中央アジアまで〜」（研究代表：真道洋子）の助成を受けて来日され、東京、横浜、京都で特別講演会を開催されますのでご案内させていただきます。

The habitat in the Bukhara oasis and its evolution since the Late Antiquity to the Medieval period
Abstract
After a general presentation on the evolution of settlements in the Bukhara Oasis, resulting by the several transformations of the Zerafšan delta, and the evolution of urbanism between the late Antiquity and the Islamic period, this lecture will focus on the evolution of the habitat ensuing from the changes on human behaviors. These evolutions should be now imputed to the result of the landscape changes which generated a demographical increase, an exponential increase of settlements and thus a transformation of social behaviors to adapt to this new background.

Human occupations and dynamic of economical growth in the Bukhara oasis
Abstract
The lecture focuses on the dynamics of human occupations ensuing from water needs in the area of the Zerafšan delta. The recent geo-archaeological researches and OSL dating of paleochannels directed under the aegis of the Louvre Museum brought to light the water changes since Neolithic, generating a change on human behavior, which showed especially from the Antiquity and Islamic period an important evolution of settlements and a few later a transformation of commercial exchanges. The recent discoveries also carried out the exponential increasing of settlements within the oasis and the development of the urban characters. All these elements contributed to social changes pushed by a high degree economic dynamics.

Settlement dynamics in the Bukhara oasis and the birth of the North-Eastern path of the Silk Road
Abstract
The lecture focuses on the dynamics of human occupations ensuing from the hydrographic changes in the oasis of Bukhara, since the Neolithic to the Medieval period, and on the evolution of settlements relating with water resources. The recent geo-archaeological researches realized by the Archaeological French-Uzbek Mission in the Bukhara Oasis, under the aegis of the Louvre Museum, brought to light and dated the whole network of paleochannels of the oasis. In this context, an important increase of urbanization has been observed since the first centuries of our era, not only determining changes on human behavior, but also changes on trade customs, which have been studied in a historical point of view.
